RAMTEC recognized at Straight A Innovation Conference

At this inaugural summit, RAMTEC was recognized. RAMTEC, located on the Tri-Rivers Campus in Marion, Ohio, was expanded to eight additional school districts through a Straight A grant. Read more

Gov. Kasich visits RAMTEC/Tri-Rivers

Screen Shot 2014-10-27 at 9.13.19 AMGov. John Kasich and Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor visited RAMTEC and Tri-Rivers Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014 on their campaign trail to re-election. They emphasized their goal to make education engaging, accessible and relevant. The governor said schools like Tri-Rivers/RAMTEC are important to Ohio. Career Technical Student  Organization (CTSO) presidents were there to greet them. They toured RAMTEC and then talked about their goals for Ohio to a group of more than 100 in the Giauque Auditorium at Tri-Rivers.

Tri-Rivers/RAMTEC selected by SME as PRIME site

 


(DEARBORN, Mich., Oct. 15, 2014)
– The SME Education Foundation’s Partnership Response In Manufacturing Education (PRIME) initiative is pleased to announce it has selected six new high schools to participate in its program, including Tri-Rivers Career Center/RAMTEC.  PRIME creates connections between manufacturing high school students, educators and the industry to grow and train the next-generation workforce — all while driving interest and awareness in manufacturing. Whirlpool Associates Training at RAMTEC

RAMTEC closeupThrough a collaboration between Tri-Rivers Career Center and Marion Technical College, 24 maintenance and nine tooling apprentice associates from Whirlpool are receiving training in RAMTEC on the Tri-Rivers Campus.

“The Whirlpool associates had been in a five-year apprenticeship training program through Terra Tech, but with RAMTEC located in Marion, they can now train at a world class training facility close to home,” according to Ritch Ramey, RAMTEC coordinator.
