Tri-Rivers RAMTEC was named to the Smart List as one of the Top 100 Schools in the Country to Visit by Getting Smart. The blog states that the list includes schools that achieve extraordinary results—create powerful learning experiences, and/or are innovative blended and competency-based models.
RAMTEC is viewed as a pathway to employment and economic development.
Getting Smart visited RAMTEC in 2015 and wrote a feature article saying, “The RAMTEC foyer is filled with pictures of the history of Marion and the innovations they’re famous for. Students spend half of their day in academics courses to learn core high school curriculum then spend the other half of their day training in robotics, welding, and manufacturing.”
On the Getting Smart site the feature article says you won’t find the same level of robotics on most college campuses in the country as you’ll find at Tri-Rivers RAMTEC. What’s the secret? Our friends at Strive Together in Cincinnati would call it collective impact (one of the 7 keys featured in Smart Cities). Tri-Rivers just calls it partnership.
