At this inaugural summit, RAMTEC was recognized. RAMTEC, located on the Tri-Rivers Campus in Marion, Ohio, was expanded to eight additional school districts through a Straight A grant.

The reach of the impressive RAMTEC program had been limited to high school students in the rural Marion Area until a Straight A grant came through to replicate RAMTEC in Cincinnati, Dayton, Toledo, Cleveland, Akron, Shelby, Newark and Plain City, Ohio.

The eight new programs will be up and running in the next 14 months, according to RAMTEC Coordinator Ritch Ramey. The programs are working with six major manufacturers, three of which are headquartered in Ohio. Students will be able to earn valuable industry credentials and become productive workers in Ohio.
