RAMTEC Summer Robotics Camp June 9-11

The third annual RAMTEC Summer Robotics Camp is being held at RAMTEC on Tri-Rivers Career Center’s Campus, June 9-11, 8:30am-3p.m. each day.
Thirty-eight students from area high schools and middle schools are participating in this event sponsored by the Honda Foundation and RAMTEC.
The students will learn to build and program robots during the three-day camp.


Ritch Ramey, RAMTEC Coordinator and one of the instructors said participants will have the opportunity to operate FANUC Industrial Robots and see the new Sky Rise Vex Robotics contest in action.
The objective of the event is to create interest in careers in Advanced Manufacturing, Robotics and Engineering.
Along with Ramey, instructors  include: Mark Robinson, Harding; Kristi Matlack, North Union; Dave Sieg, Ridgedale; and Brandon Crisp, Grant Middle School.
